Battleground: USA as mid-term elections loom

There is a lot at stake for both sides, much of which would affect the rest of the world, South Africa included. DM's [Rebecca Davis]( has infiltrated the United States to explain the nitty-gritty. [Momberg's appeal to be heard in 2019]( Vicki Momberg's appeal against her conviction for a racist rant will be heard in February next year. Momberg was appealing her three-year conviction and had been granted bail of R2,000 for the duration of said appeal. The former real estate agent had called a police officer the K-word 48 times despite him trying to assist her after a robbery. [Danish woman arrested in SA over massive fraud]( A woman who worked in Denmark's social security department has been arrested in Johannesburg. Sixty-four-year-old Britta Nielsen allegedly stole 15-million euros in state funds meant for the disadvantaged. Whether Nielsen will be extradited, however, remains unknown. [Cooler weather to help end Cape fires]( The Southern Cape's numerous wildfires may soon peter out as cooler weather and a spot of rain emerged in the area. Hundreds of fire fighters had been battling blazes in the Southern Cape for almost two weeks, with many communities relocated. Now, with the weather shifting a bit, the end of this current disaster is hopefully on the horizon.
