So outrageous was political and executive meddling in bank/client relationships that ABSA refused to meet with an inter-ministerial task team headed by Mosebenzi Zwane. Thatâs because the bank could not get assurances from Zwaneâs office that the proposed meeting would take place within the bounds of the law.

Big strides for a frozen conflict, in other words.

A doctor who once appeared on a dating show, together with his girlfriend are believed to be responsible for scores of drugging and sexual assault cases. California authorities had received "dozens" of leads and tips on Tuesday relating to 38-year-old Grant William Robicheaux, and his 31-year-old girlfriend, Cerissa Laura Riley. That, and the countless videos on Robicheaux's phone showing women being assaulted while unconscious.
[Irish president signs abortion ban repeal](
President Michael Higgins has signed into effect a repeal of a ban on abortions in Ireland. Taking five months and virtually a formality, the signature is however the final stamp on a 66% referendum voting overwhelmingly in favour of the repeal.
[SeaWorld to pay fine over Orca film](
SeaWorld Entertainment and its ex-CEO will pay $5-million in fines after lying about damage to the brand's reputation following the airing of "Blackfish". The documentary revealed widespread mistreatment of SeaWorld's orcas, something which the theme park denied. Despite agreeing to pay the fine, neither SeaWorld nor its old CEO have admitted their fault in the handling of it all.
