[Microsoft US gets serious about parental leave]( Software giant Microsoft has announced that it would be requiring all suppliers in the United States with 50 or more employees to offer better parental leave. New parents would be afforded a 12-week parental leave period. Moreover, Microsoft determined that parent-employees should be paid at least $1,000 per week of their leave. [Australian PM-ousting minister in au pair scandal]( Peter Dutton, the anti-immigrant firebrand responsible for dissolving Australia's Liberal Party, has been embroiled in a visa scandal involving two foreign au pairs. An Italian and French pair received direct assistance with their visas from Dutton when they were cancelled.
