[Bantustan boundaries, alive and well in modern South Africa](

By excluding communal land from the current expropriation without compensation deliberations, the ANC not only entered into an elite pact with traditional leaders, but also agreed to the effective continuation of bantustan boundaries. Itâs a decision that fails the constitutionally guaranteed national commitment to land reform, restitution and equitable access to land â and leaves some 18-million rural South African residents without the security of tenure set out in Section 25(6) of the Constitution.

[Anderson makes history at Wimbledon](
"Follow your dreams" was Kevin Anderson's message to South African kids after knocking out Roger Federer at Wimbledon. In beating Federer 2-6, 6-7 (5/7), 7-5, 6-4, 13-11, Anderson became the first South African to make the tournament's semi-finals in 35 years, and just the sixth in history. He faces American John Isner next.

Despite taking an early lead, Gareth Southgate's men showed the attacking ambition of a taxidermied squirrel after Croatia equalised. [Trump demands double defence spending](
While sporting history was being made left right and centre, Donald Trump was angering his closest strategic allies in NATO. On Wednesday the US president demanded that member nations double their spending commitments to a total of 4% of GDP. The figure is a hefty mark-up, but was absent from a joint statement resolving greater "burden sharing".

Players and fans of Activision Blizzard's Overwatch rejoice! Disney announced on Wednesday that it would be televising the eSports games live in partnership with ESPN. The move is a deliberate strategic pivot into eSports, where lucrative winnings and an inescapably popular genre of gaming has gained millions of followers.
