Friend, [sign the petition to the news media: Trump is a clear and present danger to democracy.]( [Sign the petition]( The walls are closing in on Donald Trump. Four of his co-conspirators (including attorneys Sidney Powell & Jenna Ellis) in the Georgia case [have pleaded guilty]( and are now cooperating with authorities. Judges in two of his trials have imposed gag orders because he was intimidating prosecutors and witnesses: [one in the D.C. trial]( overseeing his 2020 election subversion, and one in his New York civil fraud trial. And in the New York case, he's [already been fined]( for violating it. This comes after two grand juries of everyday Americans indicted Trump for his criminal conspiracy to overthrow the will of the people, from inciting supporters to deadly violence on January 6th to asking government officials in Georgia to falsify votes. (Two other grand juries also indicted him for improperly keeping classified docs and paying hush money.) But here is where it gets dangerous–a president who attempted to overthrow an election that he lost will not stop at the judicial effort to hold him accountable. [Sign the petition to the news media: Donald Trump is a clear and present danger to democracy. He attempted a coup on January 6, and will try again.]( [Sign the petition]( Trump has [defied the admonitions of judges]( not to post messages on social media that smack of tampering with witnesses, juries, and justice. His followers (who appear to trust him more than they [trust their own family]() have taken it upon themselves to [intimidate jurors and election officials](. The news media (at all levels and across the political spectrum) must start treating Trump for what he is: a danger to our democracy and a threat to our government. And political leaders must prepare for the worst-case scenario in 2024 if he does attempt to do this again.
