Friend, Social Security is a vital lifeline for countless citizens who depend on it for financial stability in their retirement years. Any changes to Social Security should prioritize preserving and strengthening it for both current and future generations–the GOP wants to do the opposite. [Sign the petition: No cuts to Social Security or raises on retirement age!]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( In recent years, we have seen a disturbing trend among Republican politicians—including 2024 presidential hopefuls Nikki Haley and Mike Pence—to propose [raising the retirement age for younger generations]( or introduce "private savings accounts." These proposals are thinly veiled attempts to cut Social Security benefits and divert funds into the pockets of wealthy hedge fund owners. Social Security is a benefit for hard-working Americans, and any attempts to undermine it will devastate millions of retirees and erode trust in our government's ability to protect its citizens and our hard-earned benefits. We demand that our elected officials stand up for the well-being of all Americans and reject any proposals that would cut Social Security benefits or raise the retirement age. [Sign the petition: Absolutely NO cuts to Social Security or raises in the retirement age!]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( Thank you for fighting with us, Mayra Souza, Daily Kos Daily Kos needs you now more than ever We are falling behind our projections for two of our three major revenue streams: advertising and list building.
