Friend, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott plans to pardon Daniel Perry for the murder of Black Lives Matter protester Garret Foster. [Sign the petition: Denounce Governor Greg Abbott and GOP-sanctioned violence.]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( New [evidence]( from Perry’s social media and text messages show Perry’s intent to murder protesters leading up to Foster’s death, as one text read, “I might go to Dallas to shoot looters,” and another message on Facebook reads, “no protestors go near me or my car.” The activity also reveals a routine history of racist and sexually predatory behavior, and in one instance, Perry is known to have initiated an inappropriate exchange with a 16-year-old girl after searching for “good chats to meet young girls.” This is who Greg Abbott wants to pardon; it absolutely must be condemned. Daniel Perry shot and killed a BLM protester, Garrett Foster, in Austin, TX in 2020. A jury unanimously agreed that Perry's actions were premeditated, and his violent behavior was evident in his [tweets]( just weeks before the murder. Now, Gov. Abbott is attempting to score cheap political points by freeing a murderer.
