Friend, Oh boy. When Republicans shamble out of their dank subterranean caves, what you get is the moritfying clown show they put on during Joe Biden’s epic State of the Union address on Tuesday night. Furious and bewildered that Biden utterly owned them by [baiting them into standing up](—literally—in defense of Social Security and Medicare, members of the House GOP responded with infantile outbursts and puerile heckling that made Biden look, well, presidential and made them look like a phalanx of deranged uncles who always ruin Thanksgiving. Most emblematic of all was sad-sack Kevin McCarthy, the speaker-in-name-only [who desperately tried to shush]( his most obnoxious minions, most notably Rep. Cruella de Vil (R-GA). His utter lack of success in bringing his out-of-control caucus to heel perfectly encapsulated his feeble grip on his party, and in humiliating fashion, he had to retreat the next day and [defend the “passion”]( of these hooligans. Of course he did, because he has the [skinniest, frailest majority]( the GOP has seen in quite some time. It’s not just that he can only spare a handful of votes on any given roll call, it’s that so many of his members sit in districts that Biden won. And today, we’re adding a dozen more of those vulnerable Republicans to our slate of targeted 2024 House races, which now features all 18 Biden-GOP seats. You want to take back the House, boot the pathetic McCarthy, and make Hakeem Jeffries the nation’s first Black speaker? This is where you start. [Please donate $3 now to each race on Daily Kos’ slate of top House seats we can flip next year!]( [DONATE]( A little background on how we’re going about this, since it’s early in the election cycle and most incumbents don’t have challengers yet. What we do have are ActBlue's nominee funds—one for every district—which hold all donations in escrow and then give them to the winner of each Democratic primary. Those funds will give our nominees a huge boost just when they'll need it most, ensuring they can immediately start reminding voters of just how buffoonish these Republicans are. And it really matters. McCarthy and his goons may seem like a joke, but the dark money machine propping up Republicans is anything but. Good thing is, we have people power on our side. Small-dollar grassroots donations will go a long way toward exposing these bozos and flushing them right back into the minority, where they belong. [Daily Kos is targeting 18 Republicans in districts Biden won. Donate $3 to help flip each seat now!]( [DONATE]( Thank you, David Nir, Political Director Daily Kos P.S.
