Also this week, the progressive powerhouse, [Democracy for America]( (DFA), announced that after nearly 20 years, they would be shutting down. Daily Kos' work sits at the crossroads of both Washington Post and Democracy for America. We are the country's largest progressive news and activist hub; meaning we deliver the news you can do something about. Daily Kos has not escaped the struggles that both the media outlets and progressive groups have experienced: We have seen a drop in engagement and a decrease in fundraising.
