Friend, the [legitimacy]( of the Supreme Court is under heavy fire. And Clarence Thomas is further undermining the court's standing by disregarding [federal law]( with his open misconduct and marked conflicts of interest. Yet Thomas recently [ruled]( to block enforcement of the Jan. 6th select committee's subpoena for records directly relating to that Arizona pressure campaign. We can't let Justice Thomas elude responsibility for unethical behavior that continues to tarnish our nation's highest court. There are no current penalties for Supreme Court justices who do not follow the law and abuse their power by flouting ethical rules.
