Wade, another major reproductive rights decision was leaked to key conservative activists before the opinion was made public. In a letter to Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, former anti-abortion advocate Robert Schenk [alleged]( that Justice Samuel Alito divulged the outcome of birth control case Burwell v. Hobby Lobby to a donor of Schenk’s Capitol Hill evangelical nonprofit, Faith and Action, before the decision was released. Schenk claimed to use that insider information to prepare a public response to the decision, and also said he informed the CEO of Hobby Lobby that the company would win its case just days before the decision came down.
