Friend, in battleground states, attorneys general are one of the most important lines of defense against extremist laws and efforts to erode human rights. When the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, progressive attorneys general made it clear that they would continue to [fight]( to protect and expand abortion care. As we face continued and worsening attacks on our bodily autonomy, we need statewide officials who will wield their power to shield constituents from abortion bans and criminalization—but that can only happen if they win. I’ll get straight to the point here, friend. I’m asking for your donation to help Democrats running for attorney general in five key swing states this November. Abortion is a winning issue, but these candidates need resources in the final weeks before the election to cross the finish line. [Donate $5 to our slate of attorney general candidates in Colorado, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, and Wisconsin who will oppose ultra-conservative efforts to trample our fundamental rights.]( [CLICK TO DONATE]( There are many ways attorneys general can [defend]( abortion. They can take measures to protect people who have self-managed abortions, work to ensure privacy of people who may travel into their states for abortion care, and even collaborate with other attorneys general across the country to implement regional or national plans to advance abortion access. The candidates Daily Kos is supporting for attorney general are up against abhorrent, extremist Republicans who would only further destroy abortion rights—and that’s only the tip of the iceberg. From reproductive freedom to the climate crisis to the very basis of our democracy, it’s no exaggeration to say that everything is on the line in every level of this election. With so much at risk, we need to ensure that progressive candidates have the funds and resources to carry them through until every eligible voter has cast their ballot on November 8. It doesn’t matter how much you give—if we all chip in together, we can win. [Friend, please donate an amount that is meaningful to you to help these rockstar attorney general candidates cross the finish line and win.]( [CLICK TO DONATE]( In solidarity, Sarah Hogg, Daily Kos Daily Kos, PO Box 70036, Oakland, CA, 94612.
