Friend, this is pretty low. After John Fetterman, candidate for Senate in Pennsylvania and recovering from a stroke, did an interview with NBC News’s Dasha Burns in which he used closed captioning, successfully, to take questions, numerous [news media outlets]( pounced. Frankly, this is bullsh*t. Every single day Fetterman is on the campaign trail, meeting voters, giving speeches, and yes even answering the media's questions. He is proving to the voters that he is up the job. When the media runs with stories like this, they are just further amplifying the stigma against people with disabilities that does real tangible harm. Meanwhile, his Republican opponent is a literal puppy killer who doesn't even live in the state that he is running in. The bigger story is that Mehmet Oz has evaded questions from the media about his position on the GOP push for a national abortion ban. News media outlets like CBS, NBC, New York Times and the like, are all chasing this mountain of a molehill, non-story for no other reason than ratings and to tear down a popular candidate. [Over-hyped stories like this don't help Democrats' chances of holding the Senate. Please support John Fetterman, along with two other Daily Kos-endorsed candidates for Senate by making a $10 donation today.]( [DONATE]( Thanks for all you do, Amanda McKay, Daily Kos P.S.
