Friend, Republicans who continue to embrace and push Trump's Big Lie are on the ballot for offices that would allow them to freely initiate investigations into “voter fraud”, jeopardizing our free and fair elections. This is a potential catastrophe for American democracy. Along with your governor and secretary of state, the attorney general is part of the certification process for the presidential elections – running the elections, supervising the counting of ballots, certifying the results, and protecting those results. We must do everything we can to ensure GOP [election denier candidates]( are not elected into this influential state office. We need your support to help protect our democracy. Daily Kos has endorsed a slate of Democrats running for attorney general in five key swing states—candidates who will vigorously oppose Republican efforts to roll back our rights and undermine our elections. [Please help stop the GOP’s plan to steal elections by giving $10, $100, or whatever you’re able to Daily Kos’ slate of Democrats running for attorney general—help stop the GOP’s maniacal frenzy to rig our elections!]( [DONATE]( Abraham Hamadeh, an election denier, [won]( the Republican primary for attorney general in Arizona. If he wins, he [plans]( to “prosecute crimes of the rigged 2020 election.” Michigan GOP candidate Matthew DePerno is [implicated]( in a scheme to meddle with voting machines in 2020 in order to steal the election for Trump. These are the people who could be certifying our electoral votes in two years. This is what we’re up against—an attempt to totally erode our democracy. We must elect Democrats who will uphold the rule of law and do everything in their power to safeguard our rights and thwart another Republican coup attempt. Attorneys general in the states were crucial to holding the tide against Trump’s extremism, and we’ll need them even more in the years to come.
