Friend, I want to make sure you saw my email from yesterday because this is one race we CANNOT afford to overlook. Daily Kos-endorsed Democrat Cheri Beasley is running neck-and-neck with right-wing extremist Ted Budd for a Senate seat in North Carolina. This is a Republican-held open seat, meaning that, if Beasley wins, it's a net gain for Dems in the Senate and would crush any chance for Mitch McConnell to take the majority. But despite this, North Carolina Dems say Beasley isn't getting the same support from national Democrats as other Senate candidates across the country. We need to change that—and fast. [I'm asking you one more time: Please rush to donate $10 to Daily Kos-endorsed Democrat Cheri Beasley and make sure she has the resources she needs to win this close-fought race.]( [DONATE]( Thank you again, Michael Langenmayr, Daily Kos --------------------------------------------------------------- Friend, North Carolina Democrats are fretting that the national party is [sleeping]( on the state's Senate race, where Democrat Cheri Beasley is running neck-and-neck with right-wing extremist Ted Budd for an open seat. National Democrats might be sleeping on it, but Daily Kos ain't. We endorsed Beasley way back in March. As Daily Kos Political Director David Nir [wrote at the time](: Beasley has experience winning statewide—she’s done so twice—and as a Black woman, she’s demonstrated an ability to activate voters who have often been left out of the political process. [...] North Carolina is a swingy state, and polling shows this race is close. That means we have a very winnable race on our hands, but also a very difficult one, because Republicans are seeing the same data we are. This is a Republican-held seat where the incumbent is retiring, making it a Democratic gain if Beasley wins. With President Biden's agenda and his judicial nominations on the line, we can't afford to miss an opportunity like this. That's why I'm asking you to rush a donation to Beasley right now. [Daily Kos-endorsed Democrat Cheri Beasley is running neck-and-neck for a Republican-held Senate seat, but she's not getting the same national support some other Democratic Senate candidates are. Can you donate $10 to her right now to help fill the gap](? [DONATE]( Thank you, Michael Langenmayr, Daily Kos P.S. Beasley also supports eliminating the filibuster. If we can elect her and also flip one more seat, that would give Senate Democrats a majority in favor of reforming the filibuster and ending the GOP's ability to block worthy legislation.
