Last week, the Biden administration announced that it is planning to end Title 42 in May at the Southern Border. This is a victory for people seeking asylum and for all of our partners that joined us in protesting this law. However, Biden should end Title 42 NOW and not postpone until May — this policy, which has been used more than a million times to send people seeking asylum right back into harm’s way, will continue to do so until it’s officially ended. It’s time to stop harmful anti-asylum policies at the border.
