Friend, Senate Republicans just put out their plan for America if they take back the Senate—and it's worse than what they gave us under Trump. Sen. Rick Scott, chair of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, released the plan in a 30-page, 11-point document called ["Rescue America"](—and it is downright terrifying. Here are just some of the lowlights: - Scott goes all-in on the GOP's latest racist boogeyman, declaring that "public schools will focus on the 3 R’s, not indoctrinate children with critical race theory." Schools will "inspire patriotism and stop teaching the revisionist history of the radical left" and if you don't like public school, parents can “choose the school that best fits.” So that’s public funding of private, segregated, and in Scott's opinion, preferably Christian schools. - He says they'll finish Trump's wasteful southern border wall and of course, "name it after President Donald Trump." Those that do immigrate to the country should "want to be Americans, not change America… immigration without assimilation makes us weaker." - He even tries to make Republicans pro-"science" in an anti-LGBTQ, misogynistic screed: "Men are men, women are women, and unborn babies are babies. We believe in science: Men and women are biologically different, 'male and female He created them.' Modern technology has confirmed that abortion takes a human life. Facts are facts, the earth is round, the sun is hot, there are two genders, and abortion stops a beating heart. To say otherwise is to deny science." Scott's plan is like a Fox News fever dream. Yet, with Democrats' narrowest control of the Senate and the House, this could be Congress's legislative agenda if we do not take action now to win more seats in the November elections. [Daily Kos has a long record of helping to elect not just more Democrats, but better Democrats, up and down the ballot, in every corner of the country. But we can't win in November without your help.
