[Sign MoveOn’s petition: Spotify, remove Joe Rogan’s podcast now! His show spreads lies about COVID and vaccines, racist disinformation, and conspiracy theories to millions of listeners.]( [SIGN ON]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Friend, Spotify has an incredible number of podcasts, albums, and news available on its platform. But, Spotify has an issue with disinformation and extremism. The streaming service's number one podcaster, with his own, exclusive multimillion-dollar deal, is none other than Joe Rogan, who spouts vaccine lies, racist disinformation, and conspiracy theories. Singer Neil Young recently penned an open letter to Spotify saying he would take his music off the platform if they didn't remove Rogan's podcast. Joni Mitchell, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and India.Arie are some other respected artists who’ve done the same as Young. After Spotify announced it would remove Young's music, #SpotifyDeleted trended for hours on Twitter. [The moment to act is now. Tell Spotify: Stop the spread of disinformation and remove "The Joe Rogan Experience" from Spotify.]( [SIGN ON]( By giving a platform to Joe Rogan and his show "The Joe Rogan Experience," Spotify is handing a microphone to an anti-vaxxer who allows white supremacists to speak at length about their toxic ideologies to millions of listeners. Sparked by Rogan’s troubling podcast, 270 doctors, physicians, and science educators have signed an open letter calling on Spotify to take action against COVID misinformation on the platform. Spotify must do better—it should be a space for sharing ideas, stories, and music, not lies, hate, and bigotry. Spotify is putting profit over public safety—add your voice to the outcry against this. [Sign the petition calling on Spotify to remove "The Joe Rogan Experience" and implement policies explicitly banning disinformation and hate speech.]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( Thanks for all you do, UltraViolet, via MoveOn Paid for by MoveOn.
