Friend, Congress is leaving Washington for a two week "spring break" to head to their home districts

Friend, Congress is leaving Washington for a two week "spring break" to head to their home districts from April 7-23. Unfortunately, we haven't gotten one single break from Trump's destructive agenda since he was inaugurated. Every day some fresh horror is unleashed from the White House. On Thursday evening, Trump launched a missile attack on Syria -- without congressional approval. Now is not the time for senators and representatives to rest and normalize Trump's dangerous overreach. Because of sustained pressure and demands from constituents, the GOP bailed on their disastrous Obamacare repeal bill, not even putting it up for a vote. Since then, Senate Democrats also abandoned plans to bargain with Mitch McConnell to confirm Trump's extremist Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch. Instead, they banded together to block his confirmation as long as they could. We must keep demanding bold action from our senators and representatives to resist Trump and his brand of far-right extremism. Now is not the time to ease up on our elected leaders.
