Friend, after public pressure from the media, the [U.S. Holocaust Muesum](, [his sister]( and even [his wife](, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. took to twitter to [apologize]( for implying that Holocaust victims, like Anne Frank, had more freedom than the current day unvaccinated. This isn't the first time he has invoked the Holocaust during an anti-vaxx rant. In 2015, he [said of vaccinations](, “They get the shot, that night they have a fever of a hundred and three, they go to sleep, and three months later their brain is gone. This is a holocaust, what this is doing to our country.” He “apologized” for that too, though now we know he wasn’t being sincere. He actually believes it. He keeps saying it, again and again. The sad thing is that Kennedy's statements don't come as a surprise. Kennedy has been a longtime anti-vaxxer, anti-masker whose lies and anti-science rhetoric have fueled the anti-vaccine movement. A study by [The Center for Countering Digital Hate]( (PDF) found that just a dozen people are responsible for 65% of the COVID-19 disinformation being spread on social media platforms, and that Kennedy and his organization, Children's Health Defense, were the second biggest offenders. Yet, Kennedy isn’t content just spreading dangerous, life-threatening misinformation and lies. He has also sued Daily Kos to unmask the identity of a community diarist for writing a story that Kennedy attended an anti-mask rally in Berlin that was heavily planned, promoted, and attended by neo-Nazis. Kennedy Jr. compared the current pandemic safety policies to Nazi Germany and the Holocaust. Except, [according to Kennedy](, it was easier to escape the Holocaust, saying "Even in Hitler’s Germany, you could cross the Alps into Switzerland, you could hide in an attic like Anne Frank did" (ignoring the fact that Anne Frank died in a concentration camp). He followed that up with a tirade about 5G and satellites tracking our every move. Unlike in Nazi Germany, Kennedy can freely spew his conspiracy theories and exploit one of the greatest human tragedies in history into a microphone in the middle of the nation's capital—it's one of those rights granted to us in the Bill of Rights. Yet, this man is suing Daily Kos to reveal the identity of a user who wrote about Kennedy's participation in an anti-mask rally in Germany that was organized and attended by Nazis. A story that was also reported by many major media outlets. Daily Kos is now in the second year of [defending]( Kennedy's frivolous lawsuit to protect the privacy of our community and our First Amendment rights.
