Thankfully, nine months into 2021 we have only missed our monthly fundraising goal once -- all the way back in April. But I'll be honest with you, I'm worried we are not going to hit our fundraising goal this month. Why is this so important? The biggest reason is that we still have a lot of work to do to reverse all the damage Trump and his administration have done to our country. And even though Trump is no longer in the White House, Trumpism is still influencing policy at every level of government -- from school board to the halls of Congress. Your donation supports the tools we use to help connect our readers and activists to lawmakers and make your voices heard. It supports the Get Out the Vote tools we use to mobilize hundreds of thousands of volunteers to elect more Democrats up and down the ballot. It supports the website where millions of people visit to get the latest progressive news. This is why Daily Kos is the largest news and activism hub in the country. [Nearly half of our operating budget comes from grassroots donations of just a few bucks at a time. We still need to raise another $70,756 to reach our September goal.
