Friend,, [sign and send the petition: Congress must fix our broken healthcare system]( [SIGN AND SEND THE PETITION]( Drug manufacturers, including Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson, have launched a massive lobbying campaign opposing key healthcare provisions of the Build Back Better Act. That's because those provisions would empower Medicare to negotiate drug prices and significantly reduce prescription drug costs, saving the program approximately $345 billion. The nine moderates in the House who have threatened to derail the Build Back Better Act have raked in almost $1.2 million from Big Pharma. We can't let the moderates and their corporate donors win. Congress must pass all healthcare provisions of the Build Back Better Act. The Build Back Better Act will make essential changes to our broken healthcare system that will change the lives of millions of Americans by: - Lowering prescription drug prices. - Making permanent the boost to income-based tax subsidies that lower Affordable Care Act (ACA) premiums. - Closing the Medicaid coverage gap. - Investing in Medicaid home and community-based care services. - Fixing the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) system. The House is planning to vote on the Build Back Better Act on September 27. Contact your senators and representatives, and let them know you want big, bold action. Tell them you support the Build Back Better Act. [Sign and send the petition to your House and Senate Democrat: Tell Congress it’s time to expand our healthcare system and make it accessible to all Americans.]( [SIGN AND SEND THE PETITION]( Thank you for joining the fight, Mayra Souza, Daily Kos Daily Kos Relies on Readers Like You We don't have billionaire backers like some right-wing media outlets.
