Friend, [sign and send the petition to your US Senator: Abortion access is on the line -- don’t let the filibuster strip our rights!]( [SIGN AND SEND THE PETITION]( We are reeling from the horrendous attacks on our reproductive freedom by the abhorrent legislation in Texas. And now, other states are planning to do the same following a complete blow to Roe v. Wade by the Supreme Court. What we need is federal protections for abortion access -- and we need it NOW! The Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA) would codify Roe v. Wade into law, protecting the right to an abortion at the national level. With 48 co-sponsors in the Senate, this bill already has substantial support. But that doesn't mean much if the Jim Crow filibuster stands in the way. Republicans can, and likely will, filibuster WHPA—causing the bill to be blocked. [Sign and send the petition: Abortion access cannot be assured with a looming filibuster -- end it now!]( [SIGN AND SEND THE PETITION]( This has to be a HUGE wake up call for our Democratic senators who have the opportunity to eliminate the filibuster once and for all. Democratic leaders who refuse to eliminate the filibuster are ignoring our reproductive rights and are siding with pro-life advocates. Democrats have the majority in the Senate -- now they must eliminate the filibuster and use that majority to pass legislation that we all need and want. [Sign and send the petition: Eliminate the filibuster NOW and protect our reproductive freedom.]( [SIGN AND SEND THE PETITION]( Thanks for all you do, Erin Tulley, Daily Kos Daily Kos Relies on Readers Like You We don't have billionaire backers like some right-wing media outlets.
