--------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Friend, This is the most import

[Join Powered By People to fight the more than 50 voter suppression bills moving in the Texas legislature.]( [JOIN US]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Friend, This is the most important moment to fight back against voter suppression in Texas. This month, Powered by People volunteers joined lawmakers, advocates, business leaders, and concerned voters in Austin to rally against the more than 50 voter suppression bills moving through the Texas Legislature. Over 500 people from across Texas—from El Paso to Dallas to Corpus Christi—signed up to show up at the Texas Capitol to stand up for our democracy and push back against these egregious anti-democracy bills. These voter suppression bills would make it harder for Texans with disabilities, working Texans and Texans of color to vote but we have a fighting chance to stop it by mobilizing public sentiment. [Will you join our team and help support these courageous Texans in standing up for voting rights? Once you’ve joined the team, we'll follow up with volunteer opportunities so you can make the biggest impact in this fight against voter suppression.]( [JOIN US]( Texas is already the most voter suppressed state in the country and these bills will make it even tougher for people to vote. They include provisions that would restrict early voting access, make it harder for Texans with disabilities to get assistance to vote and would give “poll watchers” free rein to intimidate voters. With our democracy at stake, Powered by People volunteers are doing all we can to fight back. We’re testifying at public hearings, engaging with voters across the state and signing up to register voters in record numbers, ensuring that we are ready to meet future voters where they are and get them on the rolls. [Join us in this work to preserve democracy and fight for voting rights in Texas.]( [JOIN US]( Grateful to have you in this fight with us.
