Friend, on this President's Day, we ask you commit to take bold action to oppose the current administration by putting pressure on your members of Congress to oppose the White House. This week, members of Congress are on recess and in their home districts. This is a time when they are supposed to meet with constituents, hold forums, and receive feedback. And, while more than 300 events are scheduled, quite a few members of Congress are ducking their constituents and hiding from the public. This is why activists around the country are using resistance recess to find local events to reach elected officials. [Please click through to the resistance recess website and find an upcoming event in your area.]( [Can't attend an event? Please donate to support the ongoing efforts to resist Trump.]( If your politician is fighting to oppose a Trump agenda, they need to hear from you so they can continue to feel supported and accountable to you during the coming months and years. If your politician is helping to move Trump's agenda, they definitely need to hear your opposition and understand the consequences of their support. [Please consider attending an event in your area this week, to let your members of Congress know what you expect from them. Please donate $3 to support the ongoing efforts to resist Trump.]( After attending an event, please consider creating a post on [Daily Kos]( to share your experience and photos with others. It's easy--start at the "blog it" button in the upper righthand corner of the site and tag it with "resistance recess" so we can easily find and share your work.
