Friend, Just a few weeks ago, I left the front steps of the Supreme Court with progressive champions

Friend, Just a few weeks ago, I left the front steps of the Supreme Court with progressive champions Representatives Hank Johnson, Jerry Nadler, Mondaire Jones, and Senator Ed Markey as together we announced the Judiciary Act of 2021 – history-making, game-changing legislation to expand the Supreme Court. The future of our country, whether it’s our democracy or our ability to pass bold progressive legislation, depends on us expanding the Court. The Judiciary Act of 2021 is how we get it done. The American people need to step up right now and demand that Congress act quickly to add seats and restore democracy. [Will you join this fight right now?]( [Sign the petition to join Take Back the Court in supporting this historic legislation to expand the Supreme court.]( [SIGN NOW]( When I founded Take Back the Court a few years ago, the fight for Supreme Court expansion was a lonely one. But look where we are now: the Judiciary Act of 2021 has been introduced in both Houses of Congress and even the White House is now contemplating court reform. The White House is creating a Court Commission because they acknowledge the Roberts Court is broken and an urgent threat to democracy. But we don’t have six months to talk about the problem with no promise of real conclusions. If you're the captain of a ship and you see an iceberg on the horizon, you don’t call for a six-month study. You change course. We need to act on this historic legislation right now. Sign Take Back the Court’s petition to help us take back the Court and save our democracy before it’s too late. If we're going to get anything done in the next four years, we need to expand and rebalance the Court the Republicans have stolen and controlled for more than 50 years – despite losing the popular vote in seven of the past eight presidential elections over the last 30 years. Passing the Judiciary Act of 2021 is the first step Congress must take to lead our country back to the right course. [Sign Take Back the Court’s petition to support the Judiciary Act of 2021 and expand the Supreme Court.]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( Thank you for joining the fight to protect our democracy, Aaron Belkin Director, Take Back the Court Paid for by Take Back the Court Action Fund.
