Friend, Donald Trump’s Muslim and African bans devastated communities and ripped families apart

Friend, Donald Trump’s Muslim and African bans devastated communities and ripped families apart by prohibiting immigration from majority Muslim nations in Africa and Asia. While President Biden put an end to Trump’s travel ban upon taking office, the ability for future presidents to impose a similar ban still remains – unless the NO BAN Act is signed into law. We can protect vulnerable communities from the whims of white nationalists – but only if the Senate takes action. [Sign and send the petition to the U.S. Senate: Pass the NO BAN Act!]( [SIGN AND SEND A PETITION]( Keep fighting, Monique Teal, Daily Kos P.S. Read more about the NO BAN Act below. --------------------------------------------------------------- Friend, [sign and send the petition to the U.S. Senate: Pass the NO BAN Act!]( [SIGN AND SEND THE PETITION]( One of the most harmful, discriminatory actions of the Trump administration was Donald Trump’s heinous Muslim and African bans. They tore communities apart, forcing thousands of families to be separated for years. No one should be blocked from entering this country just because of their religion or national origin. It is simply not enough to repeal the bans. We must put stricter standards in place to ensure that future presidents cannot use their authority over our immigration system in such a discriminatory way ever again. The NO BAN Act, which just [passed]( the House, is the first-ever Muslim Civil Rights Bill. If passed by Congress, it would limit U.S. immigration law so that no future president can single-handedly issue bans that bar immigrants based on their national origin or religion. The bill will now go to the Senate -- it is so imperative that the Senate hear from us! We must demand our senators immediately pass the NO BAN Act.
