Friend— Abortions are safe, legal – and in immediate danger of disappearing from Kentucky,

Friend— Abortions are safe, legal – and in immediate danger of disappearing from Kentucky, thanks to the heavy burdens of a medically-unnecessary law recently upheld by a federal court ruling. [Sign Planned Parenthood Federation of America's petition now if you believe in safe and legal abortions in every state, add your name to the pledge right now.]( [SIGN NOW]( Thank you, Alexis McGill Johnson, President & CEO Planned Parenthood Federation of America --------------------------------------------------------------- (The original email is below) Abortions are essential health care. A federal court has upheld a Kentucky law that would burden every health center providing abortions with heavy, medically-unnecessary restrictions. [Sign Planned Parenthood Federation of America's petition now if you believe in the rights of people from Kentucky and every state to have an abortion if they need one.]( [SIGN NOW]( Dear Friend, Kentuckians are in danger of losing every abortion health center in the state. A federal court has upheld a Kentucky law designed to cut off abortion access through medically-unnecessary restrictions that have nothing to do with medical safety – and everything to do with stripping people of their bodily autonomy. The law will now require the last two health centers in the state to get a written transfer agreement with a local hospital and a transport agreement with an ambulance in order to operate. Without these medically unnecessary agreements about an exceedingly safe medical procedure, the health centers will need to apply every 90 days for a waiver from the health department. If the state chooses to refuse the waiver for any reason, Kentucky could become the first state with zero abortion providers. Zero.
