Friend, earlier this week, a Texas judge issued an unjust temporary restraining order (TRO) to halt the implementation of President Biden’s executive order that placed a 100-day moratorium on deportations. Since then, a group of Black immigrants have been deported to Jamaica and many others are at risk for family separation, even former DACA recipients like [Javier Castillo Maradiaga](. Activists and immigration attorneys successfully halted his deportation from Alexandria, Louisiana, and he was transferred back to an ICE facility in New York just days ago. Now, ICE has transferred him back to Louisiana, a potential threat of deportation and clear example of retaliation. We cannot allow ICE to mistreat our community members like this. Fortunately, there is something tangible we can do about ICE's mistreatment of undocumented youth like Javier Castillo Maradiaga: pay DACA application and renewal fees. United We Dream has set up a DACA application fund to do just that. Money raised for the fund will help protect youth across the country and secure the futures of so many community members.
