Friend, quick follow-up to Amanda's email from this morning—quick because this will be our last

Friend, quick follow-up to Amanda's email from this morning—quick because this will be our last fundraising email for our endorsed candidates before the election. The final weekend before an election—Get Out The Vote (GOTV) weekend—is crucially important for campaigns. Many Democrats on Tuesday's ballot have broken fundraising records this year, but others still need our help to make sure they have everything they need in the last, crucial days. That could be anything from gas for vans to help get senior voters to the polls, to masks for volunteers going door to door in a pandemic, to last-minute targeted online ads to remind those who may not always vote to get to the polls. [Thirteen candidates for state legislature, two for secretary of state, and one for state attorney general—this is the final slate of candidates that we think most need our support in the final days. Each of these races will deliver big bang for your buck, so please take one minute right now to chip in $1 to each of them.]( Let's win this thing, Michael Langenmayr, Daily Kos --------------------------------------------------------------- Friend, we are just a matter of days away from the most important election of our lifetime. In many ways, this election has been unlike any other; we are already seeing record early voting and Democrats at the top of the ticket are smashing fundraising records. We also are finding ourselves in the middle of a viral pandemic that is changing our day to day life and how we vote. Not only do we have the chance to win back the White House and help Democrats gain control of the Senate, but we can flip the state legislatures in Michigan, North Carolina, Arizona, and Texas -- along with picking up critical statewide offices like Secretary of State in Washington and Oregon, and attorney general in Montana. Now that Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell have packed the federal courts, including the Supreme Court, flipping these state legislatures are our last defense to protect reproductive freedom, LGBTQ+ rights, voting protection, fight partisan gerrymandering and passing sensible gun control policy. [These down-ballot candidates -- that are working directly in their communities to turnout every last vote -- aren't seeing the same fundraising enthusiasm as the top of the ticket candidates like Joe Biden and the U.S. Senate. That's why we are asking you to give a $1 to each of these 16 candidates that will be rushed directly to their campaigns to help them win.]( Keep fighting, Amanda McKay, Daily Kos Daily Kos, PO Box 70036, Oakland, CA, 94612.
