Friend, guess how Senate Republicans reacted to this week's astonishing [taped confession]( from Trump that he knew exactly how dangerous the coronavirus was and lied about to the public. Well, since my email earlier in the week: - Republican Sen. Joni Ernst [hasn't read the news]( - Neither has GOPer [Martha McSally]( - Susan Collins? LOL, she just [used a staffer as a human shield]( and ran away from reporters Senate Republicans are all simply [pretending]( they've managed not to hear or read about the fact that their president admitted to lying about a public health crisis that has, so far, killed more than 190,000 Americans. I have no words for this. Only white hot anger for Trump and the Republican senators who voted to keep a corrupt, incompetent reality TV "star" in office becase they were too scared of his white supremacist superfans to remove him from office. These cowards knew full well that Trump was dangerously unfit for office—and now we're all paying the price. [We need to bring down each and every Republican who voted to keep Trump in office. That starts with Ernst, McSally, Collins and their cowardly colleagues on the ballot this fall. That's why I'm asking you to chip in $1 to each of the Daily Kos-endorsed Democrats for Senate right now. If we put these candidates over the top, we will have broken Mitch McConnell's Trump-loving majority.]( Thank you again, Michael Langenmayr, Daily Kos --------------------------------------------------------------- MY EARLIER EMAIL: This is not normal, friend: - Trump admitted—on tape!—that he [intentionally downplayed the threat]( of the coronavirus - He later tried to [dismiss this]( shocking revelation as simply being "a cheerleader for this country" - He recognized the virus poses [a threat to younger people](, even though he's now pressuring schools to reopen Those stunning news items all came out yesterday. And that's not even half of the day's major news stories. Trump seems to have [revealed nuclear secrets]( to reporter Bob Woodward. The attorney general transformed into [Trump's personal attorney]( as the Justice Department came to Trump's defense in a defamation lawsuit. [A new whistleblower report]( reveals that Trump appointees ordered the Department of Homeland Security to alter intelligence reports on Russia and white supremacists. And that's still not all the day's news. Yesterday was a blockbuster news day, but each of these stories only confirms what we already knew: Trump is dangerously corrupt and unfit for office. [Republican senators knew Trump was corrupt and unfit for office when they voted to acquit him in their sham impeachment trial earlier this year. Yesterday, Republican senators ducked questions about Trump by simply saying they hadn't read the news. They need to go—every single one of them. That's why I'm asking you to chip in $1 to each of these Daily Kos-endorsed Democratic Senate candidates.]( Thank you, Michael Langenmayr, Daily Kos Daily Kos, PO Box 70036, Oakland, CA, 94612.
