Friend, the coronavirus crisis is spiraling out of control. New models project as many as [half a million Americans could die](, yet the White House and many Republican governors refuse to take action. Trump says children must return to school in the fall. The White House says ["the science should not stand in the way of this."]( Americans are being abducted by [unidentified, camouflage-clad shock troops]( in Portland, OR. They are federal agents, but they are not police, and they are operating against the express orders of Oregon's governor and Portland's mayor—both Democrats. It's been a dark week in Trump's America. It didn't have to be this way. Senate Republicans had the opportunity—and the responsibility—to take action and remove this dangerous, out-of-control monster from office. Instead, they staged a sham impeachment trial and acquitted Trump of abusing his power and covering up those abuses—crimes of which he was obviously guilty. Senate Republicans are as much to blame for Trump's bloody and tragic policies as Trump himself is. We need to make them pay. [Twenty-three of the 52 Republicans who voted to acquit Trump are up for election this fall. Polls are moving in our direction, so we need to take action now to make sure each and every Republican who is vulnerable pays for their obsequiousness. That's why I'm asking you to chip in $1 to each of these Daily Kos-endorsed Democrats running to oust incumbent Republican senators on the ballot in November.]( Thank you, Michael Langenmayr, Daily Kos Daily Kos, PO Box 70036, Oakland, CA, 94612.
