Friend, we have one more election in 2018 where we need to get out the Democratic vote and stop Republican voter suppression. And it's NEXT WEEK. [Sign up to make remote phone calls to Georgia voters for next week's December runoff election, and replace Republican Brian Kemp with a Secretary of State who cares about voting.]( [Sign up to volunteer]( [Can't volunteer? Chip in $3 to the various voting rights groups in Georgia who are doing important work on the ground to get out the vote on December 4.]( What happened in Georgia in this election was disgraceful. Republican Brian Kemp [abused his role]( as Secretary of State to maliciously suppress the vote to elect himself Governor. Democrat Stacey Abrams finally had no choice but to end her campaign & file a lawsuit. "There’s no way to know if the result would have been different if [Kemp] didn’t do everything in his power to steal this election," explained Ian Millhiser at Think Progress. "But he did everything in his power to steal this election." And that is a dangerous precedent. We do have two pieces of good news. First, we can replace Kemp with a Secretary of State who believes in voting. Democrat John Barrow [has pledged]( to reverse Kemp's illegal attempts to suspend voters' registration applications over trivial discrepancies such as misplaced hyphens, and end Kemp's mass purges of eligible voters simply because they vote infrequently. Second, no matter where you live, you can volunteer to make phone calls to help John Barrow replace Brian Kemp. [But time is running out. Please sign up for some remote phone-banking shifts to help Democrat John Barrow win the December 4 runoff for Georgia Secretary of State.]( [Sign up to volunteer]( [Can't volunteer? Chip in $3 to help get out the vote.]( Thanks for all you do, Paul Hogarth, Daily Kos Daily Kos, PO Box 70036, Oakland, CA, 94612. Sent via [ActionNetwork.org](.
