Dear Friend, Republican Brian Kemp is actively purging voter rolls and suppressing voter registratio

Dear Friend, Republican Brian Kemp is actively purging voter rolls and suppressing voter registrations while running for governor in Georgia. How is this possible? It's because he also happens to be the current secretary of state for Georgia, presenting a massive conflict of interest while he seeks Georgia's highest office. [Add your name to the People For the American Way's petition demanding that Brian Kemp resign from his post as secretary of state and stop the voter suppression>>]( [ADD YOUR NAME]( PFAW-endorsed Democrat, Stacey Abrams, has called on Kemp to resign from his post as revelations of voter suppression continue to surface in a state Republicans are deeply worried about losing. We agree. Georgia Republicans are doing everything they can to keep minority turnout low, the same turnout that might cost Republicans seats in November's election. It's obvious that Kemp and his Republican cronies are worried about high voter turnout. In 2014, Kemp acknowledged in a private meeting with Republicans the "danger" the then newly-formed New Georgia Project (an initiative formed by Abrams to register 400,000 new voters in Georgia) posed to their election prospects that fall: "Democrats are working hard, and all these stories about them, you know, registering all these minority voters that are out there and others that are sitting on the sidelines, if they can do that, they can win these elections in November." [Clearly Kemp knows the power of strong voter turnout and he will do everything in his power to stop it. SIGN and demand he resign from his position as secretary of state and stop his voter suppression tactics>>]( [ADD YOUR NAME]( We cannot sit by and allow Republicans to continue their voter suppression efforts. With the Supreme Court ruling that eroded vital protections in the Voting Rights Act, it's clear Republicans are seizing their opportunity to suppress voter turnout and disenfranchise voters in Georgia and across the country in order to maintain their power -- it's corrupt and outrageous. We must stop it. Voter turnout is going to be crucial in ensuring a blue wave takes place during the midterm elections this Novembers and we can't allow the likes of Brian Kemp to quietly keep eligible voters from the polls in the weeks leading up to one of the most pivotal elections in recent history. [Add your name to the People For the American Way's petition demanding that Brian Kemp resign from his position and stop the voter suppression in Georgia>>]( [ADD YOUR NAME]( Thank you for adding your voice to this fight -- together we can stop Republicans from doing what they can do keep Georgia from turning blue this November! -- Zach VanHouten Digital Communications Coordinator Paid for by People For the American Way.
