Friend, it's getting worse. Trump has stepped his attacks on Robert Mueller up to a fever pitch. He's saying the NFL players' protests [aren't protected speech](. He's declaring that he has an "[absolute right](" to pardon himself for any crime. This is dangerous. Worse still: Republicans are doing nothing to stop him. They're more afraid of Trump's propagandists at Fox News and Trump-loving Republican primary voters than they are of Trump's creeping autocracy.
