[Act Now: Continue providing the opportunity to break out of poverty!]( [Sign Now]( Dear Friends, Malawi is one of the world's poorest countries. More than half of its 18 million citizens live below the poverty line. That’s why for over 30 years, FINCA has been proud to work with communities there to help people overcome difficult conditions to create thriving businesses and end the cycle of poverty. Through traditional bank branches and a network of banking agents, working out of small shops in local communities, including the rural areas where most people live, FINCA has worked with nearly 180,000 Malawians. Together, with the support of people like you, we’ve achieved amazing results. - More than 32,000 FINCA clients in Malawi have been able to grow their business, the most common goal we see, allowing them to reach a new level of financial success and stability! - More than 25,000 people have been able to improve their homes and their quality of life with it. - More than 235,000 people are employed by FINCA-funded businesses. - These successes are incredible and are proof that the solution to global poverty lies in unleashing the wisdom, talent, and work ethic of the world’s most disadvantaged people. FINCA has been working for four decades to help people around the globe build their own pathway out of poverty. What that work looks like varies by each and every individual and especially from country to country. Billions of people worldwide still lack access to the opportunity they need to break out of poverty, and I know that as we continue our work, with supporters like you alongside us, we’ll be able to see more and more successes like we have in Malawi throughout the rest of the world.
