Friend, yesterday, Donald Trump sat down with the National Association of Black Journalists and it was [a genuine disaster]( followed a week and a half that could probably be called the worst of his campaign. His supporters went into full [panic mode]( following the event. If anyone needed a reminder of what it is we're up against, Trump's blatantly racist display yesterday is a stark reminder of why we need to win this fall. Democrats have had two great weeks, with the Harris campaign soaring while Trump's campaign has been melting down. We need to capitalize on this moment—to get in touch with voters who may just be tuning into events or who may have a history of sitting out some elections, and to make sure they know what's at stake in November. That's why Daily Kos is going all-in to recruit 100,000 volunteers to help Get Out The Vote. Here's the thing: The staff time and tech resources this sort of campaign takes costs real money and, on top of that, there is the opportunity cost—i.e., the fact that we could be spending this time on more profitable things. But, at the end of the day, this election is too important to not do this work. That's why I'm writing to you today. [Can you please donate $5 right now to help Daily Kos offset the cost of our Get Out The Vote campaign so we can recruit 100,000 volunteers this fall?]( [Please Donate]( Thank you, Michael Langenmayr, Daily Kos   P.S. We understand that not everyone can afford to make a donation, but we still need your help to win.
