Friend, the and billionaire troll, Elon Musk, who is worth over $252 BILLION has committed to giving

Friend, the [world's richest person]( and billionaire troll, Elon Musk, who is worth over $252 BILLION has committed to giving [$45 million a month]( to a newly formed super PAC—America PAC—that is working to turnout votes for Trump. [Here's the thing: Republicans may have Musk's money, but we have the grassroots. Donate $20.24 to help Daily Kos get out the vote for Democrats, up and down the ballot in key states.]( [Please Donate]( [I understand if $20.24 is too much, so you can click here to donate less.]( Republicans, in particular Trump's campaign, don't have a strong Get Out the Vote strategy compared to Democrats. This new super PAC hopes to change that. America PAC is focused on registering likely-Trump voters and getting them to vote early and request mail-in ballots. Even before Musk's gobs of money, the superPAC had already hired hundreds of employees that are connecting with voters in numerous key swing states and encouraging them to vote early. Thankfully, unlike this new superPAC, Daily Kos has a long track record of turning out the vote. Daily Kos is the country's largest progressive news and activism hub and we have a deep reach into the progressive movement. In 2020, Daily Kos recruited over 100,000 volunteers from our community of grassroots activists to help turn out the vote using innovative tools and a wide variety of proven Get Out The Vote methods. Our goal is to repeat what we did in 2020: Recruit over 100,000 volunteers that connected with over a million voters and support Democratic candidates up and down the ballot. In fact, we have already started to chip away our volunteer goal—we already have over 20,000 volunteer sign-ups and counting. We have been recruiting volunteers to be poll watchers, write letters to encourage people to boost turnout, and send postcards to voters in key states. Unfortunately, Daily Kos has fewer financial resources as we dive into the 2024 elections and our Get Out the Vote campaign is not cheap. We are estimating that between the technology costs, staff time, and the expense of recruiting volunteers, our GOTV efforts will cost us nearly $200,000. [We need to protect our democracy and basic rights and we can only do that by turning out as many likely Democratic voters as possible. Daily Kos can't repeat our 2020 electoral successes and win in 2024 with fewer resources. Please support Daily Kos's elections push with a donation of $5, $20.24, or more today.]( [Please Donate]( Thank you, Amanda McKay, Daily Kos       If you wish to donate by mail instead, please send a check to Daily Kos, PO Box 70036, Oakland, CA, 94612.
