Part of the alleged Russian-backed messaging for the party included a #ESTexitEU keyword on social media promoting Estoniaâs exit from the European Union. The walkouts come after protests occurred in a number of cities, including the capital Athens. and Larissa, which is near the site of the train disaster. On Tuesday night, a passenger train carrying 350 people â most of them students in their 20s â collided with a freight train after both ended up on the same track. The front carriages burst into flames. Rescue workers said they are still searching for victims. The incident sparked a series of demonstrations across the country, with many protesters lamenting that the disaster had been long in coming. The workerâs unions blamed successive governmentsâ âdisrespectâ towards Greek railways for leading to this âtragic result.â Greek authorities have charged Larissaâs station master with manslaughter, while the government has vowed to carry out an independent investigation into the incident. The outcry also prompted Greeceâs transport minister to resign, saying he would take responsibility for the authoritiesâ âlong-standing failuresâ to fix a railway system not fit for the 21st century. Authorities threw stun grenades, fired water cannons and arrested at least 40 people during Wednesdayâs âDay of Disruption,â which saw protesters blocking major roads across the country. The clashes came as the months-long anti-government protests continue against planned judicial reforms, which critics say would threaten Israelâs democratic foundations. The changes would weaken Israelâs Supreme Court by allowing a parliamentary majority to override the courtâs decisions and influence the committee that appoints judges. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his coalition â a grouping of ultra-Orthodox and hardline nationalist parties â said the proposal is necessary to limit the authority of unelected judges. Meanwhile, analysts said the use of force by authorities during Wednesdayâs demonstrations is rarely seen inside Israel and was more reminiscent of Israeli military operations in the West Bank. Meanwhile, Israeli security forces have come under scrutiny in Israel over the past few days for not doing more to hold Israeli settlers accountable for a violent weekend rampage in the West Bank. Violence erupted in the Palestinian town of Huwara over the weekend, after a Palestinian gunman killed two Israeli brothers. A fistfight erupted in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius between two men after one placed a flower atop one of the seriously damaged T-72 tanks and the other attempted to remove it. The clashes have reignited historic ideological divisions in the Baltic republics of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania over the interpretation of the Soviet Unionâs legacy. All three have minority Russian populations.

Scientists analyzed the results from more than 180 people who had undergone sleep studies called polysomnographies. These studies help monitor the quality, type and length of sleep in patients experiencing sleep-related difficulties. The analysis showed that people get more rapid eye movement sleep â or REM sleep â during the winter period. During REM sleep, brain activity increases and people often dream. The researchers noticed that in winter this type of sleep â which is linked to the circadian clock â was 30 minutes longer than in summer. They noted that this trend also seems present in urban populations experiencing disrupted sleep. The team noted that if the findings can be replicated in people with healthy sleep, they could provide the first evidence of the need to adjust sleeping parents throughout the seasons â such as going to bed earlier in the colder months. âSeasonality is ubiquitous in any living being on this planet,â said co-author Dieter Kunz. âEven though we still perform unchanged over the winter, human physiology is down-regulated, with a sensation of ârunning-on-emptyâ in February or March.â ~/AASU4wA~/RgRl5FhHP0RoaHR0cHM6Ly9saW5rLndoZXJlYnkudXMvajFpMDM1b3Rjci8_bGhfYWlkPTQ1MjExMTkmbGhfY2lkPTJzdzY1Zm4zNjYmbGhfZW09dHJpc3RyYW1iYWxkd2luODklNDBnbWFpbC5jb21XA3NwY0IKZABI0wFk4U7HsFIbdHJpc3RyYW1iYWxkd2luODlAZ21haWwuY29tWAQAAABa [Advertisement](~/AASU4wA~/RgRl5FhHP0REaHR0cHM6Ly9saW5rLndoZXJlYnkudXMvbjNvaDluanhvcy8_bGhfYWlkPTQ1MjExMTkmbGhfY2lkPTJzdzY1Zm4zNjZXA3NwY0IKZABI0wFk4U7HsFIbdHJpc3RyYW1iYWxkd2luODlAZ21haWwuY29tWAQAAABa) Thank you for reading or listening to DailyChatter.
