When two nut-jobs make attempts on a former president's life within a single election cycle, it behooves the opposing party to tone down their political attacks. Maybe just a little bit. Maybe just stop calling your opponent a power-hungry dictator who wants to wipe out democracy for good. It's not too much of an ask, is it? Well, in the immediate wake of Ryan Routh's plan to assassinate Trump, the Biden-Harris administration and prominent Democrats such as Hillary Clinton have shown no signs of stopping. In fact, all signs point to an escalation. Read on to find out more. In this Week’s Newsletter … - Real Big News: Biden-Harris Admin echoes Trump assassin... - Hot Off The Press: Kamala's election gift... - For The Record: VP Debate host rife with Dem donors... On Monday, Hillary Clinton[went full-on Resistance Liberal]( during a segment with MSNBC host Rachel Maddow to demonize Trump and urge the media to ratchet up their critical coverage of the former president. “Sadly, the press is still not able to cover Trump the way that they should. They careen from one outrage to the next. What was outrageous three days ago is no longer on the front pages, even though it threatens the physical safety of so many people, particularly as you point out, immigrants that he and Vance have decided to demonize,” Clinton said. “And I don’t understand why it’s so difficult for the press to have a consistent narrative about how dangerous Trump is. The late great journalist Harry Evans, one time said that journalists should really try to achieve objectivity, and by that, he said, I mean they should cover the object. Well, the object in this case is Donald Trump. His demagoguery, his danger to our country and the world. And stick with it.” The next day, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy[asked]( Karine Jean-Pierre about the White House's heated rhetoric. The press secretary attempted to wiggle out from the question with claims that the White House has repeatedly condemned all forms of political violence. However, Doocy pointed out that the administration keeps referring to Trump as a "threat." “There are people watching at home, who might miss the part where you say ‘let’s lower the temperature’ and there are just mentally unstable people who are attempting to kill political candidates, to kill Donald Trump, and they are still hearing this White House refer to him as a threat. Is there no concern that people are taking that literally?” Doocy asked. “We are using examples. We’re not just saying that just to say it,” Jean-Pierre replied. “January 6, Peter. January 6. How many times, January 6, 2021. That is a fact what was reported that happened on that day by some of your colleagues. And we have, at the same time, denounced political violence over and over, political rhetoric, over and over again. Over and over again.” Jean-Pierre is not one to tell the truth, so in all likelihood, the "threat to Democracy" rhetoric will continue to get even worse as we near Election Day. For the political party that supposedly represents civility, unity, "adults in the room," it's an embarrassing and cynical look. On a separate, if a bit depressing, note, Trump has now survived more assassination attempts than Harris has major campaign interviews. Read Gage Klipper's piece on this absurdity[here](. HOT OFF THE PRESS Anna Moneymaker / Staff / Getty Kamala's Election Gift: The Federal Reserve[announced]( Wednesday it would cut its federal funds rate target range by 0.50%, a move that will lower the cost of borrowing and free up capital for businesses and consumers. The Harris campaign will be praying for a quick sugar rush to the GDP, which might boost their chances of winning in November. Nothing suspicious about the timing of the Fed's decision! Don Of The People: The International Brotherhood of Teamsters, who have historically supported Democrats, [declined]( to make a presidential endorsement Wednesday even though its rank-in-file members overwhelmingly back Trump. Almost 60% of members surveyed said the union should endorse Trump, while just 31% said they support Harris. Although Trump didn't nab the endorsement, it's certainly a major snub for Harris and the Democratic Party. Election Interference! According to the FBI and other intelligence agencies, Iran[sent information stolen]( from Trump’s campaign to both the Biden campaign and various media outlets in an apparent effort to get Harris elected. Of course, when Russia signals it wants Trump in office, liberal media stokes the flames of panic and laments that Trump is merely a stooge of Putin. But if Iran tries to intervene on a Democrat's behalf ... you know the deal. TRENDING Read more[here](. FOR THE RECORD Dem Central: The network slated to host the first and only vice presidential debate, CBS, is teeming with Democratic donors. The Daily Caller's Reagan Reese has the story: Leadership of the network and its parent company, Paramount, have previously made donations to the Biden and Harris campaigns and numerous other Democrats, according to public records reviewed by the Daily Caller. Among those who have donated to Democrats is Charles E. Phillips Jr., a member of Paramount’s board of directors. Between 2020 and 2023, Phillips donated $100,000 each to Biden, Harris and Pelosi’s victory fund, FEC records show. Read more[here](. Black Softballs: When Trump sat down for an interview with the National Association of Black Journalists, he was grilled right off the bat, and forced to defend himself against accusations of racism. However, when Kamala sat down with the organization this week, a reporter asked her with a straight face about how important joy is to her campaign. Check out the exchange[here](.
