Saudi’s New Robot Would Be Jailed For Indecency

The robot, dressed in traditional Saudi clothes, spoke Arabic and English and was supposed to highlight the Saudi’s achievements in artificial intelligence so far. But things didn’t go as planned... During the presentation, a female reporter for the Saudi’s state-owned TV channel stood in front of Muhammad to give her report. That’s when Muhammad got a little "handsy." In a video that instantly went viral, Muhammad can be seen reaching out and touching the woman’s backside. QSS was quick to remind everyone that the robot was completely autonomous—not controlled by anyone. In other words, Muhammad made the decision to grab that woman’s butt all on its own. You might find that funny... or offensive (the reporter sure did)... or maybe a little concerning. The crazy thing is… if Muhammad was an actual man instead of an AI robot he’d be jailed for indecency. Humanoid robots could very well be the next big thing to come out of the AI boom.
