Ayurveda’s take on combining honey and ghee in equal proportions is: no, it’s not a good idea. Ghee is cooling, while honey is heating. In a 1:1 ratio, they will disturb your balance of internal energies (doshas). This is not good news for your health, indigestion being a major concern. Kapha people should use more honey than ghee, while vata and pitta people should use more ghee than honey.
