Hey {NAME}, One of our clients landed an offer with a $30,000 raise. It took her less than 2 months. The best part? She didn't submit a single online app. Instead, she used this 9 step system: 1/ She Targeted 10 Companies My client started by getting clarity on *exactly* where she wanted to go. We all only have 100% of our energy. Instead of blasting out 100+ apps that only got 1% of her energy, She narrowed her scope to invest more in the companies that mattered. 2/ She Made A List Of 150 Contacts Networking is still a numbers game. She found 15 contacts at each of her target companies. These were people who had a lot of influence over the hiring decision for roles she wanted - hiring managers, potential peers, etc. 3/ She Prioritized Daily Outreach My client emailed 10 contacts every weekday. She didn't focus the emails on herself or her search. Instead, she researched each one (scanned social profiles, Googled them, etc) and identified an angle *they* cared about. She led with that. 4/ She Researched Her Targets Before speaking to contacts, she research the heck out of their company: - Checked the news - Listened to earnings calls - Found interviews with execs - Read product reviews She walked into the conversation knowing their goals / challenges. 5/ She Took A Consultative Approach Her conversations didn't focus on her job search. Instead, she asked questions about the company's big challenges, initiatives, and goals. She brainstormed ideas and solutions with her contacts. Then she offered to share more via email. 6/ She Kept Adding Value After the meetings, she took to email. She continued to research the initiatives / challenges from the conversation and brainstormed more ideas. She sent the best ones back to her contacts. 7/ She Planted The Seed After adding value to her contact, she dropped the hint: "Things have changed at my company and I'm looking to make a transition. I'm specifically looking for [Job Title] roles at companies doing X, Y, and Z." (XYZ were what the contact's company did). 8/ Her Contact Sold Her Because of this approach, she didn't just get referred. Her contact sent an email to the hiring manager explaining all the value she'd added and why they *had* to bring her in for an interview. The best job search advantage is an internal champion. 9/ She Scored The Offer She didn't just land a job offer. She scored an offer for the exact title she targeted, at one of her 15 target companies, with a $30k raise, and H1-B visa sponsorship. All in less than 2 months.
