{NAME}, Have you ever reached the point where you felt like quitting would be better than pushing on? Maybe you've been applying to dozens of jobs and haven't heard back from a single one. Maybe you make it to the interview every time, only to be told that they are moving forward with someone else. Maybe you're tired of going on dates that don't ever seem to go anywhere. Maybe you're tired of hitting the gym day after day while the needle on the scale doesn't seem to move. Or, maybe you're tired of trying to start a side business when it seems like every prospect turns you down. No matter what you do, it never seems to work out. The worst part is looking around you and seeing other people who seemed to have reached their goal effortlessly. You know the type. Everything they do seems to work out. Need more cash? Boom! The next company they reach out to signs on for $10k. Wedding coming up? No problem! They hit the gym for 2 weeks and drop 15 lbs. It's enough to drive you nuts. Trust me, I've been there. When I started this site a year ago, everything worked. The first article I published got 30,000 views, almost 1,000 shares and led to 1,000 email subscribers in the first 3 months. It was awesome. Then I went to Italy for a few weeks to celebrate and relax. When I got back, I figured I'd pick it right back up. Nope. I wrote a new article using the exact same strategies. Number of new email subscribers? About 5. So I wrote another one...5 more. And then another one....10 more - that came from my original article, not the new one. After 3 months I had tried everything from new posts, to guest posts, to cold outreach. Nothing worked and I was going nuts. I felt like quitting. Then something happened. I wrote a guest post for The Muse. It wasn't even incredibly original, I just reworded one of my other articles and they agreed to run it. They published it on a Wednesday. On Thursday, it was like it had never even existed in the first place. Not even a blip of recognition. On Friday, I checked my email and saw The Muse's daily newsletter headlined "Want To Land A Job In A Career Where You Have No Experience?" I opened it up and there was my article. Over the next week, it was shared over 2,000 times, picked up by Forbes, and pushed a massive amount of traffic to my site. [Image]( The moral of the story? If you feel stuck, if you feel like quitting - keep pushing forward. Set a new goal and change your approach. If applying online isn't getting you anywhere, try making connections in-person. If going to the gym isn't working, try taking a step back and look at your diet. If every date last month sucked, change it up so that you're the one bringing the fun. Do something totally off the wall. I've found that we tend to feel like we're at rock bottom just before something breaks in our favor. It's like the final test - you just have to hold on tight and wait out the storm. Dale Carnegie once said, "Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy." Time to get busy. Best, Austin PS - Not sure what you want to do with your life or what career is right for you?
