June 24, 2022 [Even a16z is slowing its investment pace]( Andreessen Horowitz is one of the most-recognized venture capital firms in Silicon Valley and it just keeps growing. But amid a broader pullback in venture investment, the firm also appears to be slowing down its investing pace this quarter, at least compared to where it was last year. [Bad news for e-cigarette unicorn Juul]( The Food and Drug Administration has banned Juul from selling its e-cigarettes in the United States in a major setback for one of the world’s most valuable unicorns. Before criticism of the company intensified, Juul raised billions from investors including Tiger Global Management, Manhattan Venture Partners and Fidelity.
