Keep your dog safe with this quick guide... [Christmas Tree]( If you have a puppy or a dog with an appetite for mischief, make sure your tree is free from any low-hanging decorations. This includes lights, tinsil and ornaments. Eating any of these will cause your dog's intestines to be blocked, not to mention any sharp ornaments will cut their mouth and throat. If you tend to decorate your tree with chocolates or candy, ensure these are at the top of your tree. [Unwrapping Presents]( Your dog loves presents just as much as you! Give them their toys and treats first to keep them occupied while you unwrap your gifts. Just remember to keep a trash bag nearby so they don't eat any of the paper or ribbons. [Christmas Dinner]( The most hectic part of your day, so read carefully! Give your dog their meal before serving your own. You can give them boneless, skinless cooked chicken or turkey, steamed veg like carrot and broccoli with some plain gravy (free from onions and herbs/ spices). With a full stomach, they'll be satisfied and less tempted to interrupt your meal. Consider creating a safe space for them somewhere, with a bed, some treats and their new toys to play with. You don't want them following you around the kitchen while you're rushing round with hot plates. And make sure you tell your guests not to feed your pets. They mean no harm, but your dog will get sick if they eat too much or eat food that's harmful to them. [Christmas Walk]( Make sure you find time to go on a walk. It's just what they need after intense socializing or a big dinner (leave some time for their food to digest before heading out). This is a great time for them to spend some time with their best friend and play with their new toys! Treasure Every Moment Christmas is a perfect time to create memories and bond with your pet. You want them to enjoy the day just as much as anyone else. However you choose to spend the holidays, we hope you have a paw-some time and make sure to cherish every moment! Questions?
