[Trend Trader Daily] This High-Flying Company is Already Up 20% This Year July 07, 2023 I've said it before, and I'll continue to hammer it home until I run out of breath (or at least until my keyboard gives out)... Artificial Intelligence ("AI") will impact nearly every industry in the world, from finance to healthcare to software development. Today, though, I want to focus on AI's impact on our national security. And I want to highlight a company using AI to benefit both our military and civilian sectors. > ADVERTISEMENT < Buy This Sector Immediately A former hedge fund manager has uncovered evidence that the stage is set for a rally in ONE specific sector in the next year. This rally â his data indicates â will be triggered by a rare yet ultra-lucrative market event... one that could've doubled your money 21 times in one year the last time it happened. [This ex-Wall Street titan reveals all the details here](... A Whole Lot More Than Bombers and Jets Given that Europe is still at war, and China continues to threaten Hong Kong's independence, one thing is clear: the need for state-of-the-art defense technology is ever-present... And that includes defending our skies. You see, when we think about the military's presence above us, we usually picture bombers and fighter jets. But increasingly, security is riding on something much smaller, sometimes so tiny that soldiers can hold them in their hands. But make no mistake: these tiny tech toys certainly pack a punch. Drones Usher in New Warfare I'm referring to drones. Perhaps surprisingly, drones loosely date back to the mid-19th century. That's when Austria attacked Venice with explosives attached to balloons. During World War I, radio-controlled drones appeared. And the technology has continually improved to reach the remotely-piloted, AI-enhanced ones we see today. Modern drones, often referred to as unmanned aerial vehicles ("UAVs"), debuted in Afghanistan shortly after September 11. This is when the "networked" battlefield started to come into its own. After 9/11, drone-warfare strategy and equipment began to increase rapidly, thanks to new conflicts that had the same setup â a massive traditional army facing small bands of organized militias from non-nation states using guerrilla tactics. The re-invasion of Iraq became a huge testing ground for a new generation of equipment. And today, next-generation drones have been developed for specific assignments. For example... Boeing's (BA) RQ-21 Blackjack is an "integrator" helping shuttle information from the front lines back to naval ships to assist Marines. And the CIA and U.S. Air Force use the wedge-shaped Lockheed Martin (LMT) RQ-170 Sentinel for long-term surveillance. But it was quickly realized that being able to build small, handheld drones would help troops dealing with improvised explosive devices ("IEDs") and ambushes on a daily basis. Today, UAVs of all shapes and sizes are readily available. And they've become so prevalent that Amazon (AMZN) is even using them for delivery services. A Match Made in Heaven Clearly, drones are everywhere. But it's their partnership with AI that's helped them take the biggest step toward mainstream use. UAVs can deliver real-time data on geography, assets, and opponents in aggressive environments. The better the equipment these UAVs carry, the more data there is. AI is excellent in processing this data and providing insights. And just as consumers want more and more "smart" devices, the military is continually pushing the envelope for more data. It's part of the reason why AI is on track to become a sector worth more than $63 billion just two years from now. The thing is, this figure only covers the civilian drone-services market. According to Goldman Sachs, the combination of military and civilian applications will push drone services north of $100 billion. Speaking of military applications... An Unstoppable Trend One of the most interesting aspects of new drone technology is that AI can rapidly drive swarms of small drones that can act autonomously to execute missions. These military-developed technologies also translate to civilian uses for first responders, disaster relief, and logistics. As you can see, AI is an unstoppable trend. And one company I've been a fan of for years is making significant moves in this sector. This company won one of the first drone contracts in Ukraine when the war started. And its roots in assisting military branches date to the second Gulf War. Since the war in Ukraine has grown, this company has acquired a small firm that focuses on AI systems for the aerospace market â a merger that I liken to adding a turbocharger to an already fast race car. What's more, this company's history of paradigm-shifting innovation spans decades, with some of its greatest creations already sitting in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington DC. Avoiding the Headlines Fortunately for us, it's not the kind of stock that stays in the headlines. That's due its somewhat niche business. But with its growing use of AI in drones, notoriety isn't far off. Granted, earnings growth has been weak in recent years. But last quarter, per-share profits shot up by 250%, a sign of good things to come. While analysts project this growth to taper off slightly, forecasts for 2023 still call for profit growth of more than 100%. At that rate, profits per share could double in just over two years. If you're a "Pro" subscriber, I'll reveal the details behind this company and your opportunity to potentially double your money. Don't miss out! â FOR TREND TRADER PRO READERS ONLY
