[Trend Trader Daily] This Fund Has Beaten the S&P by 176% March 31, 2023 Measured against the monstrous size of the U.S. government, a $53 billion spending program might not seem like much. For reference, the federal government has spent $4.6 trillion just on Covid relief since March 2020. Here's the thing... Because it's being applied to one of the most important facets of the U.S. economy, this $53 billion is incredibly valuable. You see, this money is part of the recently adopted Chips Act. As its name implies, this is designed to shore up America's lead in semiconductors and shift power away from China. The Chips Act will be a catalyst for the $250 billion domestic semiconductor sector... And it comes on top of roughly $80 billion that the Biden administration says will be invested in chip plants across the U.S. How can we take advantage of this surge in funding? Let me show you... > ADVERTISEMENT < FedCoin is REAL (and coming soon)... In what could be the worst kept secret inside the D.C. Beltway... A Fed-backed digital dollar – a.k.a. "FedCoin" – recently finished testing. And now, as a major dollar-destroying event approaches (on July 1)... [Every American should be making this one crucial move, ASAP](. Details of the Chips Act Signed into law in August 2022, the Chips Act is a set of subsidies and loan guarantees aimed at creating at least two U.S.-based hubs for semiconductor manufacturing by 2030. It's also intended to increase production here in America and decrease our country's reliance on "frenemies" like China. Chip makers in the U.S. and Taiwan (Taiwanese companies want to set up shops in America) are already vying for a share of this money. And Arizona, Texas, and Ohio are the prime candidates for where the semiconductor hubs will be located. A Look at Semiconductor Giants Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSMC), for example, houses much of its production in mainland China. But it's building a $12 billion semiconductor manufacturing plant in Arizona. You might not be familiar with TSMC. But you've definitely used devices that house the chips this company makes. TSMC makes semiconductor chips for Apple (APPL), Qualcomm (QCOM), Nvidia (NVDA), Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), and several others. Meanwhile, America's own chip giant, Intel (INTC), recently broke ground on its new $20 billion plant in Ohio. And Micron Technology (MU) is investing $15 billion on a new plant in Boise, Idaho. The company says it will spend $100 billion over the next 20 years in this sector. With so much activity flooding the semiconductor space, I believe it pays to target as much of this sector as possible... And that's why I'm recommending you invest in the iShares Semiconductor ETF (Nasdaq: SOXX). A Rundown on SOXX SOXX invests in U.S.-listed designers, manufacturers, and distributors of semiconductor chips. Right now, the exchange-traded fund ("ETF") holds 35 stocks, including companies like Intel, Qualcomm, and Nvidia that I mentioned above. However, it also includes key stocks that aren't household names. Lattice Semiconductor (LSCC), for example, is the largest independent designer of field programmable gate array ("FPGA") chips. Unlike most chips, FPGAs can be reprogrammed in the field to fit the specific needs of customers. This allows for higher performance at specialized tasks, making them highly sought after in data centers, networking hardware systems, and 5G towers. Lam Research (LRCX) is another key holding. It's a semiconductor supply company providing equipment that turns silicon into wafers that have circuits printed onto them. Lam also provides the equipment that can package parts of an integrated circuit to shield and protect it from the environment, creating the black rectangles and squares we're used to seeing on pictures of chips. Both abilities make this company indispensable to the industry, and it stands to score millions in new orders as companies expand as a result of the Chips Act. Two More Holdings Then there's Applied Materials (AMAT). Founded in 1967, this Silicon Valley stalwart has been a key designer of integrated circuits and other components that power computers. The company's release of its Precision 5000 deposition machine in 1987 revolutionized semiconductor manufacturing, so much so that the machine has since been inducted into the Smithsonian's exhibit on the Information Age. Today, Applied Materials supplies chips for flat panel displays, solar panels, and other electronics. Finally, SOXX holds Texas Instruments (TXN). This company was key to the emergence of semiconductors and microchips. In fact, it created the world's first silicon transistor and first transistor radio in 1954. It also launched the world's first integrated circuit and first handheld calculator. Today, Texas Instruments boasts a spot on the top 10 list of global semiconductor sales, specializing in chips that process analog signals such as light, sound, or radio waves. A Market Crusher Simply put, SOXX is a terrific way to invest in the fast-growing semiconductor industry – a single investment that enables us to capture the potential of an entire sector's worth of companies. And if that weren't exciting enough, consider this: Over the past five years, the S&P 500 has gone up nearly 50%. SOXX, in contrast, has jumped 138% – beating the benchmark by a whopping 176%! This is the broad exposure play I would make in the semiconductor space. But I'm certainly not discounting the explosive growth that individual companies can achieve. In fact, one company inside SOXX's portfolio has seen its stock climb more than 40% in just the past five months – and I'm forecasting more profits to come. I'm saving the name of this company for my "Pro" readers, though, so make sure you're one of them.   FOR TREND TRADER PRO READERS ONLY > [LEARN MORE]( < Cheers and Good Investing, [Michael Robinson] Michael Robinson Chief Investment Officer Trend Trader Daily   Copyright © Trend Trader Daily, All rights reserved. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
