The death toll is already 20,000 and rising. A message from our ad partner: [Barnabas Aid Logo] You Can Help Christians Affected by the Turkey-Syria Earthquake [Please Donate]( "Everything is gone, the church is collapsed, my house is gone, we don't have anything. People are cold and hungry and outside. There is crying and screaming everywhere. Many are under the collapsed buildings. The help is not here yet." This was a text message from a pastor in Antakya, the modern name for Antioch where followers of the Lord Jesus were first called Christians (Acts 11:26). He was writing to some of Barnabas Aid's project partners on February 6, the day when two powerful earthquakes struck south-eastern Turkey and northern Syria. The earthquake death toll is now 20,000 and still rising. Thousands of buildings are destroyed, it is bitterly cold with snow on the ground, and the needs are huge. But food from Barnabas Aid is already being distributed in Aleppo, northern Syria: rice, lentils, beans, chickpeas, bulgar and noodles arrived there on Thursday, February 9, just three days after the earthquake. The next consignment will be on its way very soon, God willing. Join with us by sending your gift to help fund more aid for Christian survivors of the earthquake. Above all, please pray.
