As her dad, he took his role as prayer intercessor very seriously and has continued in that role for 29 years. Over the years, our non-Christian friends and family thought daily prayers excessive, but her dad also believed that God called him to follow Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” He knew that God calls parents to pray daily for their children because, while we think we are in control of what happens in the lives of those we were given to raise, God is the ultimate supreme sovereign authority who knows what is best for each child.
